Senior Software Engineer (Cloud / Backend)

You will architect and develop high-throughput data pipelines, scale microservices, and secure edge-to-cloud communications in a “You Build It, You Run It” environment – from design to production via automated CI/CD.

What You’ll Do:

Build high-throughput Backend-for-Frontend (BFF) layers using REST and gRPC to process real-time sensor telemetry
Design and scale backend services in a microservices architecture
Manage a multi-tenant SaaS environment using Infrastructure as Code (IaC)
Deliver end-to-end features, connecting backend APIs to a React-based web client

While the role is primarily backend and cloud-focused (~80%), you’ll take full ownership of features end-to-end, including occasional work with React on the frontend.

Requirements:

B.Sc. in Computer Science (from a leading university) **or** alumnus of an elite military technology unit
5years of backend development experience, primarily with Node.js (including deep understanding of the JS Event Loop)
5 years working with cloud platforms (AWS / Azure / GCP), focusing on managed services (Serverless, Kubernetes, auto-scaling)
Proven experience with Event-Driven Architecture (Kafka, RabbitMQ, SQS) and Microservices
Strong experience with Redis (in-memory data) and PostgreSQL (relational databases)
Experience building secure, multi-tenant SaaS systems, ideally with Zero Trust Architecture (ZTA) and mTL
Hands-on experience with Docker and basic Kubernetes
Experience with React or strong willingness to work on frontend when needed

Advantages:

Strong experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Serverless Framework, AWS CDK, or Pulumi)
Experience using GenAI developer tools (e.g., Cursor, Copilot, ClaudeCode)
Experience with time-series data pipelines and long-term storage tiering
Familiarity with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Datadog)
Experience with multi-threaded / multi-process systems
Python (3.6+) experience
