Information Security Group Leader

We are looking for an experienced Information Security Group Leader to take ownership of the technological security of a leading global technology company.

This is a newly created, high-impact leadership role combining strategic ownership, deep technical expertise, and people management. You will lead a team of 12 security professionals, define the group’s security strategy and roadmap, and serve as the top technical authority within the group.

We are looking for a leader who grew through hands-on security roles, understands technology at a deep level, enjoys solving complex problems, and can move seamlessly between strategy, architecture, and technical details.

What you’ll do

• Lead, mentor, and professionally develop a team of 12 Information Security professionals.

• Define and execute the group’s security strategy, architecture, and technology roadmap.

• Serve as the senior technical authority for complex security challenges and architectural decisions.

• Own security architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

• Lead security architecture and operations across technologies such as CNAPP, XDR, SASE, PAM, IAM, WAF, and NAC.

• Drive security initiatives across infrastructure, network, identity, endpoints, applications, and cloud environments.

• Partner closely with IT, R&D, infrastructure, and business stakeholders.

• Lead risk assessments, threat modeling, vulnerability management, and remediation initiatives.

• Drive security automation and leverage AI to improve security operations and decision-making.

• Continuously evaluate technologies, identify gaps, and design scalable solutions that strengthen the organization’s security posture.

What we’re looking for

• 10+ years of experience in Information Security, Security Engineering, Security Architecture, or closely related technical security roles.

• 4+ years of direct people management experience – must.

• Strong hands-on technical background and a career path rooted in security engineering, infrastructure security, or security architecture.

• Deep knowledge of enterprise security architecture across cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments.

• Strong understanding of network security, IAM/PAM, endpoint security, vulnerability management, and security operations.

• Experience with cloud security in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP.

• Experience with SIEM/SOAR and EDR/XDR technologies and incident response processes.

• Understanding of Application Security and DevSecOps practices.

• Familiarity with VMware/Nutanix and NetApp – required.

• Familiarity with security frameworks such as NIST and ISO 27001.

• Ability to dive into technical details, challenge assumptions, and solve complex problems.

• Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to translate technical risks into clear business decisions.

• CISSP, CISM, or relevant cloud/security certifications – an advantage.
