Senior Machine Learning Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Machine Learning Engineer to join our “Advanced Flash Solution Lab (AFSL),” which operates within a leading global memory and storage division. The lab is responsible for developing cutting-edge solutions for mobile, data center, and enterprise environments. In this highly competitive market, innovation is essential to enable the next generation of products.

AFSL’s mission is to enhance memory technologies through advanced algorithms that significantly improve performance, endurance, and overall capabilities, while exploring new directions in machine learning, signal processing, and security. The team consists of experienced scientists and engineers who leverage the latest research and technological advancements to design breakthrough methodologies and applications across these fields.

What will you do:

In this role, you will contribute to the development of a novel AI-driven cybersecurity technology aimed at protecting storage devices from emerging threats, ensuring robust and resilient security across future product generations.
•   Design and apply algorithms based on machine learning and signal processing.
•   Take part in the entire research cycle: the idea phase, collecting and analyzing the data, writing simulations, exploring algorithmic approaches, building proofs-of-concept and finally take part at designing the product.
•   Communicate the results of your work to other team members by preparing intelligible reports that include clear visuals, analysis and explanations.
•   Share you work in external conferences, journals and patent submissions.
•   Communicate with hardware and firmware designers that will implement the algorithm in the storage devices.
•   Gain knowledge on storage cybersecurity threads.
•   Gradually acquire an increasing knowledge of memory systems, which will let you identify bottlenecks and opportunities, and suggesting new project ideas.

Requirements:

•   Ph.D./M.Sc. in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or a related field
•   Experience in leading ML projects to production
•   10+ years of work experience with primary emphasis on AI research
•   Proficiency in Python and ML packages
•   Experience in designing HW based algorithms – an advantage
